We champion hope-filled work in the world and we work to have a hopeful posture with one another. Biblical foundation: “Always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.” 1 Peter 3:15b “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
We put people first.
We exist for people and our core focus is their progress. Biblical foundation: “When he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And he began to teach them many things.” Mark 6:34 “If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.” 1 Corinthians 12:12-27
We are growth oriented.
We want to help more members make progress and our posture is always toward growing authentically. Biblical foundation: “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” Colossians 3:23 Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 “Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.” Proverbs 22:29
We believe clarity is kindness.
To meet goals and make progress, we have to define what success looks like. Biblical foundation: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 “The time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions.” 2 Timothy 4:3
We know everything is figureoutable.
We believe there is always a way and we work together to figure it out. Biblical foundation: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” James 1:5 “All of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.” 1 Peter 3:8
